Sashco Chinking vs Caulk
- Log Jam is a textured chinking that looks like old-time mortar. It stretches up to 250%, goes in joints from 1/4" to 1" wide (up to 3"), and is applied about 3/8" thick.
- Log Builder is a smooth caulk for log checks, cracks and joints. It comes in Woodtone, Tan, Dark Brown and Clear.
- Conceal is lightly textured so it blends into the wood. Colors: Frontier Gold, Harvest Wheat, Brown Tone, Red Tone, Redwood, Grizzly Brown and Weathered Gray.
- Big Stretch is an elastomeric caulk with up to 500% stretch for windows, doors, siding and trim.

What's the difference between Sashco Capture and Transformation?
Capture is a water-based surface stain that gets a Cascade clear top coat. Transformation Log & Timber is an oil-based stain that penetrates slightly into the wood and needs no top coat. Sashco recommends Transformation when the old stain on your logs is oil-based or unknown.
Do I need Cascade over Capture?
Yes. Sashco recommends Cascade Clear over Capture for the best performance and easier maintenance.
Can I use Sashco stain on a deck?
Use Transformation Siding & Trim, which Sashco lists for decks. Sashco doesn't recommend Capture for decks.
What colors does Log Jam chinking come in?
Eight: White White, Mortar White, Buff, Tan, Light Gray, Gray, Woodtone Cedar and Dark Brown.
