Description
Sashco CPR Log Cleaner & Brightener is a powdered, oxygenated bleach cleaner for bare logs and wood. You mix it with water, spray it on and rinse it off. Use it to prep new or bare logs before staining, or to wash a stained log home as part of routine maintenance.
CPR Quick Facts
- Type: Oxygenated bleach powder, mixed with water
- Removes: Dirt, grime, pollen, mold and algae, and gray, UV-faded wood
- Makes: 4-8 gallons of solution per container, depending on strength
- Coverage: About 750-1,000 sq ft per container at cleaner strength (8:1), depending on how porous the wood is

When to Use CPR
- Before staining: on new construction, CPR at brightening strength cleans off dirt from the build and helps break down mill glaze so the stain can soak in.
- Routine maintenance: at cleaner strength (8:1), wash a stained log home every so often to remove dirt, pollen and mildew and help the stain last longer.
How to Use CPR
- Mix CPR with water in a pump sprayer at the strength you need.
- Spray the solution onto the logs, working in sections.
- Rinse thoroughly with a hose or pressure washer and let the wood dry completely before staining.
Follow the mixing directions on the container for exact amounts.
What to Use After CPR
Once the logs are clean and dry, follow up with ColorFast pre-stain and a Sashco stain such as Transformation Log & Timber or Capture.
