Cabot Australian Timber Oil
Cabot Australian Timber Oil
Cabot Australian Timber Oil is a penetrating, oil-modified finish that brings out the warm, rich tones of decks, siding, railings and outdoor furniture. It soaks into the wood to help protect against moisture and UV damage while showing off the grain.

The standard formula comes in Amberwood, Honey Teak, Jarrah Brown, Mahogany Flame and Natural. For VOC-regulated states, the Australian Timber Oil VOC formula is compliant in all 50 states. What Wood Is Australian Timber Oil For?
Australian Timber Oil is made for exterior wood: decks, siding, railings and outdoor furniture. Its three-oil blend was formulated to penetrate dense, resin-rich hardwoods such as ipe, teak, mahogany and tallowwood. The finish is transparent, so it shows off the grain rather than covering it.
How to Apply Cabot Australian Timber Oil
- Prep: start with clean, dry, bare wood. Clean and brighten the surface, and strip any old film-forming finish first.
- Weather: apply when air and surface temperatures are between 50°F and 90°F.
- Apply: shake well, then use a natural-bristle brush or stain pad. If spraying, back-brush right away.
- One coat: Cabot calls for a single coat. Allow 24–48 hours to dry.
