Proper wood prep is a critical first step to successful penetration of the Outlast Q8 Log Oil. Outlast Kleenstart Cleaner is the recommended cleaner prior to applying Outlast Q8 Log Oil. Kleenstart will clean mold and mildew and remove mill glaze. One quart makes 5-8 gallons and cleans up to 1200 square feet of surface area.
KleenStart is an oxygenated granular cleaner that mixes in warm water. Mix it up, spray with a pump-up garden sprayer, or deck brush, leave it on for about 10-15 minutes, and rinse with a power washer. Kleenstart often does most of the scrubbing for you!
