Deckwise Ipe Oil
DeckWise Ipe Oil
DeckWise Ipe Oil is a penetrating, oil-based finish made for dense hardwoods like ipe, cumaru, tigerwood and mahogany. Trans-oxide pigments protect against UV graying while keeping the natural wood grain, with no surface film. DeckWise makes two versions: Ipe Oil 250 VOC and the low-VOC Ipe Oil Plus 100 VOC. We carry both, plus samples and DeckWise prep products. Orders placed before 4pm ET ship the same day, with free shipping.

How to Apply DeckWise Ipe Oil
- Let new hardwood weather for about 6-8 weeks before the first coat.
- Clean the deck with the DeckWise Cleaner & Brightener and let it dry 24-48 hours.
- Apply one coat with a brush, roller, lint-free rag or sprayer, keeping a wet edge along the grain.
- Wipe off any oil that hasn't soaked in within the time on the label, until no surface sheen is left. Oil left on top stays tacky.
- Dispose of rags safely. Oil-soaked rags can catch fire on their own. Put them in a sealed, water-filled metal container.
