UseTim-Bor Professional Insecticide and Fungicide is recommended for control of wood destroying organisms. It is applicable for interior and exterior applications, wood and cellulose materials, in accordance with the specific treatment methods described herein. Tim-Bor Professional is effective for all interior and exterior wood (and wood-foam composite structural components) that will be protected from excessive rain and not in direct contact with soil. Surface etching of treated wood by target organisms may occur.

Tim-Bor Borate Powder
TIM-BOR® Professional Insecticidal Dust is a water-soluble borate powder that acts as a wood preservative, fungicide and insecticide to control and prevent wood decay fungi, drywood termites and carpenter ants. Kills termites in as little as seven days. Can also be applied as a 15% liquid solution to new construction or any bare wood to preserve the wood.

How does Timbor work?
When Timbor Professional Insecticide and Fungicide is brushed or sprayed directly onto the surface of timber, lumber, OSB, or plywood, it diffuses deep into the wood fibers and acts as a preservative to protect the wood from insects and fungi, as long as it is not exposed to flowing water. The active ingredient in Timbor (DOT) will not break down, so it provides long lasting protection even as normal moisture changes occur.
How long does Tim-Bor last?
Timbor will last for the life of the wood as long as the wood is not exposed to rain or flooding. It will stay in the wood forever because of how it bonds to the cells of the wood.
